UPDATE 1-Fiat jumps 16 pct after striking Chrysler deal

MILAN, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Shares in Fiat rose as much as 16 percent in early trade on Thursday after the Italian car maker struck a $4.35 billion deal to gain full control of Chrysler Group LLC.
