Activist investor takes stake in Yahoo, urges AOL merger

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Activist investor Starboard Value LP said on Friday it has acquired a "significant" stake in Yahoo Inc and urged the Internet company to explore a merger with AOL Inc .
