UPDATE 1-Barclays in talks to sell Italian network and mortgages -sources

MILAN/LONDON, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Barclays is in advanced talks to sell its Italian retail network and a portfolio of Italian mortgages worth 4 billion euros ($4.46 billion) in two separate auctions, people familiar with the process said.
