UPDATE 1-SunEdison files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection

April 21 (Reuters) - U.S. solar energy company SunEdison Inc filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Thursday, becoming one of the largest non-financial companies to do so in the past 10 years.
